UNILAG ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONTEST RECEIVES ABOUT N4MILLION BOOST

The Business Innovation and Talent Expression (BITE) of the Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre, University of Lagos has received a boost of three million, nine hundred and fifty thousand naira (N3,950,000,00).

The sum is a sponsorship courtesy of the Oladele Fajemirokun Foundation which covers the prize sum for the overall winner as well as the first and second runner ups in the Business Innovation and Talent Expression (BITE) programme.

According to a letter of Expression of Interest signed by the Executive Director, Mrs. Olawumi Fajemirokun and addressed to the Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre of the University of Lagos, the Oladele Fajemirokun Foundation expressed delight over the prospective impact of the Business Innovation and Talent Expression (BITE) programme especially on participants, the entire UNILAG community and the society at large.

While pledging readiness to extend the sponsorship gesture to future editions of the Business Innovation and Talent Expression (BITE) programme, the foundation described the sponsorship sum as its modest contribution towards building an impactful partnership with the University of Lagos in the course of promoting Entrepreneurship and Skills Development activities among the youthful population thereby addressing unemployment and its associated vices.

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS expresses gratitude to the Oladele Fajemirokun Foundation for the donation and reassures of the University’s open doors to organizations, corporate bodies, individuals and institutions in the course of promoting ideas, researches, innovations which address societal issues and engenders all round development.
