UNILAG 2024/2025 POST UTME CUT OFF MARKS

Having seen your results, the next thing to expect is the departmental cut off marks. Most people ask that how are the cut off marks derived? It is based on the level of passes on merit and catchment level(South western states.) Cut off mark is divided into three segment. Merit, Catchment and ELDS (Educational less developed states). The merit cut off mark is the overall and always emerge the highest, we advice students to aim for the merit so as not to be disappointed. A student not from the catchment states(Lagos, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun and Ogun) are categorized under the merit.

CATCHMENT STATES (Lagos, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun and Ogun) on the other hand refer to those states under the south west states and the cut off mark of these states are usually lower than the merit cut off marks. Hence, a student of Osun indigene who didnt meet the merit cut off marks might be offered admission because he met the cut off mark of his state of origin being Osun.

EDUCATIONAL LESS DEVELOPED STATES is yet another privilege for students who couldnt meet the merit cut off marks. This student is offered admission because he is from states where education is not well valued and these states usually comprises the Nothern states (Adamawa, Bauchi, Kogi, Katsina, Gombe etc.)
